TAMPA, Fla. (February 24, 2010) – FC Tampa Bay unveiled today the 2010 inaugural season uniforms, produced by Lotto Team Sports (Lotto), as well as releasing the team’s preseason schedule. The unveiling was held at Mainsail Suites in Tampa, the housing partner of FC Tampa Bay.
FC Tampa Bay signed a three-year deal with Lotto as the team’s uniform and official apparel partner, making Lotto a legacy corporate partner of the team. The partnership includes Lotto supplying the team with complete custom designed kits, cleats, training shoes and all training, travel and weather gear for the players and staff. Lotto will also have a presence at FC Tampa Bay grassroots events throughout the Tampa Bay area and at TBR Academy programs.
Lotto is an international soccer, tennis and fashion brand since 1973 that currently sponsors several major international soccer clubs, including Fiorentina, Palmero, the Colombia National team and Costa Rica National team. Lotto offers American made, Italian design for team uniforms, as well as technically innovative footwear including the Gravity shoe, which is the only laceless shoe in the world.
“FC Tampa Bay’s partnership with Lotto signifies one of the most valuable deals in our league’s history,” said Andrew Nestor, team owner and president. “We welcome Lotto to our team and look forward to watching our players at Steinbrenner Field in these great kits.”
“Lotto is thrilled to partner with the FC Tampa Bay franchise,” said Fabrizio Spampinato, director of sales for Lotto North America. “They have a deep, cherished history and it is a privilege to be a part of their re-emergence. We look forward to providing innovative designs in high-quality fabrics that both the FC Tampa Bay players and their fans will enjoy through the years.”
For the 2010 season, FC Tampa Bay will wear two uniforms, both showcasing the green and gold stripes of its team shield and a 2010 inaugural season logo. The team will wear the white jersey with striped sleeves for home games and the green and gold stripped jersey for away games.
This is the second business partnership announcement for FC Tampa Bay who announced earlier this month Mainsail Lodging and Development Group as the exclusive housing partner of the organization.
Along with the inaugural season uniforms, FC Tampa Bay released the 2010 preseason schedule, which includes five games to be played around the Tampa Bay area.
The first match is on March 6 against University of Tampa at 7 p.m. at UT with proceeds benefiting the earthquake victims in Haiti. FC Tampa Bay will also play FC Dallas of Major League Soccer (MLS) on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at UT, Philadelphia Union of MLS on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. at UT, University of Central Florida on March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Myrtle Complex and University of South Florida on April 9 at 7 p.m. at the USF Soccer Complex.
