Manu Kante Departs AC St. Louis

It seems the fallout of the firing of head coach Claude Anelka has not quite seen its end yet. The AC St. Louis fanatic has just received word of the departure of midfielder Manuel Kante of the USSF Division 2 Club AC St. Louis. Details remain scarce at the moment as neither the club or the player has released any statements regarding the matter.

It appears the release has been mutually agreed to but it is not clear whether Kante will see his last action tonight at Soccer Park. Whatever happens Saturday night, it seems certain that Kante will be most likely looking to play in his native France.

Kante has been consistent in the midfield for AC St. Louis who at times have struggled with possession. He will most likely be remembered for a beautifully guided header that propelled St. Louis to their first victory in franchise history over Crystal Palace Baltimore.

He has played in several leagues across Europe, most notably in Croatia. More details will be posted when they become available.

  1. Damn! It is tough to lose such a great player. I would imagine he will find success wherever he goes and I wish him the very best.

  2. What a very nice guy, he will be missed. Maybe… his departure might have something to do with him becoming a FATHER, the day the rest of the team was wining in Minnesota.

There is nothing more important and gratifying than bringing a child into the world. Congratulation on becoming a father Manu!!!!!

  3. He and Luke are new fathers. Something in the air.

  4. Dire qu’on était au lycée ensemble! Allez mec donne tout ce que t’as!!!!
