Cary, N.C. (Friday, August 20, 2010) – The Carolina RailHawks will play Pumas Morelos of Mexico on Sunday, September 5 at 6 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park. Tickets for the event are on sale now at the LGFCU Box Office, by calling 919-859-5425 or visiting http://www.carolinarailhawks.com. All tickets are $15 with a limited number of VIP tickets available for $30.

“We always look forward to our Mexican exhibition matches,” said RailHawks coach Martin Rennie. “Last year we had a great atmosphere at the Tecos match and we ended up winning that match 2-1. We hope to be able to do the same this year in front of another great crowd.”

Mexican legend Claudio Suarez will be playing for the Carolina RailHawks in this match and is sure to excite the crowds with his experience and talent. Suarez has played in three World Cups and is the most capped international field player in soccer history.

“In virtually every exhibition match we play, we take the opportunity to have players come in to take a look at. This is consistent with the RailHawks plan. However, Claudio just happens to be the highest profile player ever to come in,” said Brian Wellman, RailHawks President. “The timing is perfect in that the exhibition match will be against the Pumas organization which has a rich history.”

This match continues the tradition the RailHawks started in 2007 of bringing high profile, affordable games to the area. It is a way for the organization to embrace the ever-growing Latino community and integrate them with the RailHawks culture.

“We have kept ticket pricing very low, we want the stadium to be full and to have an exciting and fun international atmosphere,” Wellman continued. “We want to honor the Mexican Bicentennial and pay respect and appreciation to Mexican community. The Mexican fans and businesses leaders have given the RailHawks tremendous support since we started the franchise in 2007. I speak for the entire organization when I say ‘thank you’.”

The RailHawks embark on a two-game road trip this weekend that will take them to Austin on August 22 and to Tampa on August 25. They return home for a match against the Puerto Rico Islanders on Saturday August 28. For tickets and information please contact the LGFCU Box Office at http://www.carolinarailhawks.com or by calling 919-859-5425.
